Radio Review

BBC London 94.9 Review:

Before we structured our news cast, I wanted to know more about how famous local news stations present their news. Therefore I listened to the BBC London, a local radio station to find out more about how they organise their news stories and the way the presenters speak to the audience.

The news cast I listened to was by Daniel-Sydney Bachet holding an interview with William Boyd about his novel "Solo", discussing what the book was about and where the story originated from. Before that the presenter introduced himself and the author and the topic they were discussing. The discussion was very casual as the presenter laughed and shared his own opinion from what the author was saying. After the interview Daniel Bachet thanked the author and formally presented the music that was going to be played called Rumble, which was a formal traditional song.

I think the news cast targeted the adult audience well as the presenter looked at a book that a lot of adults living in London were aware of. The conversation was also informal so it was entertaining for the audience. The presentation of the interview was very organised and there wasn't any pauses so the news cast was simple and smooth.
